We are now 1st on the list for shearing tomorrow, Fri the 29th! The girls are getting in a last minute dirt bath for the occasion. Volunteers & spectators welcome to witness this annual event that should be approximately 3-4 hrs?

We finally have a new shearing date! The afternoon of Fri, May 29th. Rosie says "It's about time, we're cookin' in these Winter coats! Come and join us for this exciting annual event. Volunteers needed, and all are welcome to come and see what these 'kids' have been 'working' on for the past year.

Our shearing has been postponed for a couple weeks. One of the shearers was ill and they needed a day off. Will update when we have a new date. A few benefits to this postponement is maybe time to clean up this guy - Lover Boy is covered in hay. And night temps have been in the low 30's, meaning coats would be needed for many.

Surprise! Just got update on shearing that was tentative for May 20 - it has been moved up to May 6th. No time has been announced yet but will probably be after lunch as we are 3rd on the day's list after two farms in Holly. Anyone available to volunteer or watch is welcome to attend. Apologies for the short notice! Certainly caught off guard on this one! At least the weather is looking good for this year. Spread the word!

It's official, tour dates are available online to book Tue-Sat. From 'self-tour' hand feeding the boys at the fence, walking an alpaca to an educational tour with all the animals. If you'd like to book a private tour or party; schedule a home school, troop, or class - contact connie@outback with your details.

Ginger joins the 'Goat Club". She was rescued from a vacant house with her buddy Fred by Jan. Fred eventually was rehomed after picking on Ginger. Now that Jan is getting older, she wanted to find a new home for Ginger where she can be with other goat friends. My 'goat finding friend' (Laura) that I got Latte from a few years ago told Jan "I know a place". And that's Gingers story.
