Alpaca Socks

Why are Alpaca socks so special?  Because the fiber created by the alpaca is semi-hollow, moisture wicking and hypoallergenic.  So what does this have to do with socks and other products made from alpaca? Fiber with these qualities will weigh less yet be warmer because of its semi-hollow core, even when wet.  Moisture wicking means that it will move moisture away from the source where it can evaporate. Being hypoallergenic (unlike wool), alpaca fiber has no lanolin that requires chemical scouring for processing, making alpaca products comfortable, even for sensitive skin. Alpaca also naturally wicks away odor!
And the fiber comes from cute, loveable creatures!!!
